I'm reaching out because this matters. This year, Avaaz members have been funding the only food aid available for thousands of families in parts of Sudan. We're reviving Gaza's farmlands and resupplying medical clinics. And we partnered with Indigenous communities in the Amazon to help protect 2 million hectares of the world's most important rainforest. This is what's possible when thousands of Avaaz members pool their power. But global crises are accelerating -- and this work is getting harder just as it becomes more urgent. Violent conflicts are at their highest point since World War II. Major governments are slashing aid budgets to historic lows, leaving vulnerable communities with nowhere left to turn. And extreme climate disasters are hitting harder and faster around the world. Avaaz does not accept a single penny from governments, corporations, or big foundations. Everything we do is 100% member-funded. That independence gives us the power to act fast -- but it also means we rely entirely on small, regular donations from people like you. Without a predictable base of support, we will be forced to turn down urgent calls for help. We cannot commit to ongoing aid, launch bold investigations, or plan for the long-term defense of our planet. That’s why regular donations are so important. Terezinha, thank you for being an active part of this movement. Now can you take the next step and become a regular donor? You will help fund all the protests, direct action, research, and advocacy needed in the critical months ahead. We simply cannot do it without you. Donate now to power our life-saving work -- and become an Avaaz sustainer:

I'm reaching out because this matters.
This year, Avaaz members have been funding the only food aid available for thousands of families in parts of Sudan. We're reviving Gaza's farmlands and resupplying medical clinics. And we partnered with Indigenous communities in the Amazon to help protect 2 million hectares of the world's most important rainforest.
This is what's possible when thousands of Avaaz members pool their power. But global crises are accelerating -- and this work is getting harder just as it becomes more urgent.

Right now, we're ready to launch one of the most ambitious action plans we've ever tried.
In the next six months, we'll fight for the Amazon as the front-runner in Brazil's presidential elections fires up the chainsaws. We'll support families caught in devastating wars and climate disasters. And we'll mobilise millions to resist the fear and fake solutions of far-right leaders across five countries.
But ultimately the scale of that work depends on the support of our members. So I'm reaching out and asking you to become an Avaaz sustainer. Here’s what we’re planning for the coming months -- if we raise enough:
- Help families survive the horror in Sudan: With war and hunger already devastating millions, the coming El Niño will only deepen the crisis. We'll directly fund the community kitchens providing lifesaving aid, and build international pressure to end the war.
- Defend the Amazon before it's too late: We'll support Indigenous communities fighting to protect their lands, and mobilise millions against oil drilling, logging and mining. Brazil's likely new president has already promised a sweeping rollback of Amazon protections; this work could not be more urgent!
- Resist the far-right and defend human rights: We'll mobilise citizens in Brazil, Germany, France, the UK, and Spain, pushing back on the politics of fear and division to protect human rights and climate action.
- Champion the call for a free Palestine: We'll push the EU to ban trade with illegal Israeli settlements, and support the first-ever Palestinian Freedom Charter -- a roadmap to liberation written by Palestinians, for Palestinians.
- Be there when disaster strikes: We'll launch urgent campaigns and get lifesaving resources to communities facing war and climate emergencies -- just as we did when devastating floods hit the people of Nepal.
When millions of us come together, we become an unstoppable force. We can raise our voices, support families on the frontlines, challenge those in power -- and create real change. That's what Avaaz was built for. Join thousands of others in the fight for the future of life on Earth, and donate now to power our movement with a regular donation:

Whatever you decide, thank you for being part of Avaaz. By bringing our collective hopes, dreams, and political power to the critical moments ahead, we can write the next chapter of the human story -- together.
With deep hope and fierce determination,
Kaitlin, Mike, Julia, Nell, Bert, and the whole team at Avaaz

PS. This might be your first donation to our movement ever. But what a first donation! Did you know that Avaaz relies entirely on small donations from members like you? That's why we're fully independent, nimble and effective. Join the over 1 million people who've donated to make Avaaz a real force for good in the world.
